About us
The Gardenmakers started trading
on June 1st 2004 and from the very first day we have been a landscaping business focussed
on combining top quality workmanship with outstanding customer service.
From those early days when David and Tim
worked together building the foundations of our business we have slowly grown to a staff of 9.
Ordinarily we work in small teams of 3 or 4 but on a large landscaping project we might have everybody operating
on one site.
In February 2009 we were awarded the Association of Professional
Landscapers ultimate accolade. A garden we constructed near Warwick was voted the 'Supreme Winner' as well
as best garden in the over £50,000 category.

David's early years were spent working with John Hill of Sherborne Gardens where
skills in building with traditional materials like York stone started to flourish under John's tutelage. Eventually
he set up his own design and build practice in Leicestershire and combined it with Ulverscroft Grange Nursery , a
plant centre specialising in rare and unusual plants. It was here that David gained his extensive plant

In 2004 David approached Tim with the concept of creating a dedicated landscape
construction business big enough to take on large projects while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship
possible coupled with outstanding customer service. Their alliance became The Gardenmakers. David is responsible
for The Gardenmakers administration, sales and marketing and is likely to be your first point of

parties motivated and happy is one of The Gardenmakers greatest assets.
Tim also loves to pass on his knowledge and is constantly looking for
ways to develop the skills and abilities of the younger members of the Gardenmakers team.
