The Gardenmakers have been full members of the Association of Professional Landscapers since 2007.

A branch of the Horticultural Trades association, The APL is a trade body that promotes the highest of standards within the industry. To become a member a landscaping  business needs to have been trading for at least 3 years and go through a rigorous inspection process.

This includes  providing 6 separate client references, proving that all health and safety issues are being met, that the business is being professionally run and that workmanship is of a high standard.

Once a business has been accepted it then undergoes annual inspections – one site based and one office based.

The vetting process is so rigorous that the APL is the only trade body whose members  have automatic acceptance onto the Governments ‘Trademark’ scheme.

The Gardenmakers are very proud of their membership. They prove that we are what we say on the tin. Landscape gardeners who work to the highest of standards in a professional manner.

The Gardenmakers are also very proud to have won 2 of the APL’s finest awards in the last 3 years. In 2009 we scooped the ‘Supreme Garden’ and ‘Best Garden over £50,000’ award and in 2011 we achieved the ‘Best garden over £100,000’ award. Both gardens can be seen in the Galleries section of this website.
