Marshalls Paving and Landscaping products have been placed in the top 500 business brands for 2012 by the well-known Centre for Brand Analysis (c’mon, you must have heard of it!) Without doubt Marshalls are one of the leading paving and landscaping products suppliers in the UK and we can always rely on their products to be of a consistently high quality so I guess this announcement isn’t too much of a surprise.

Amongs other things Marshalls supply information on the carbon footprint of each type of paving and operate an ethical products policy to make sure that no child labour is used (particularly in India now that Indian sandstone paving has become so popular) and that workers get a fair wage for a fair days work. Their manifesto is an interesting read if you’re that way inclined. I suspect this is one of the reasons that their products are on the expensive side but heck, you do get peace of mind and a great product combined so that’s worth a premium.

And why is this relevant to The Gardenmakers?

Well we’re on the Marshalls Register of Approved Installers for our region of Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and The Cotswolds which meant jumping through a series of hoops to prove both our landscaping expertise and our business longevity. It’s something we’re proud of and the Marshalls ‘revolution’ is something we’re chuffed to be a part of.

The picture with this post is a Marshalls ‘Sand Buff’ Indian sandstone that we laid on a landscaping project in Stratford upon Avon. The paving was also used for the wall coping.
